Where RuneStats prices come from and how to read them
RuneStats tracks Grand Exchange prices for every tradeable RS3 item — from everyday supplies to high-value rares like partyhats, dyes, and boss drops. Prices come straight from the official RuneScape Grand Exchange, so you always see the real market value.
Every price on RuneStats is sourced from RuneScape's official Grand Exchange and refreshed daily. Each item page shows when its price was last updated, alongside a history chart of daily price movements.
Item pages include a daily price-history chart and a 30-day trend so you can see whether a price is climbing or falling before you buy or sell.
The in-game Grand Exchange can only handle trades up to the maximum cash stack of 2,147,483,647 GP. Some rares — blue partyhats, Christmas crackers, certain dyes — trade for far more than that, so the GE can't display their true value. For these items RuneStats shows a guide price instead, clearly labelled on the item page.
Open any item page and use the Watch button to set a target price. RuneStats will let you know when the Grand Exchange price crosses it — handy for timing a buy or a flip.
